Augie loves to put on a cap when we come down for breakfast in the morning.
Measuring the foyer for a table.
This is what he does to bread.

Stuff I've made this month..so far
I didn't make the little sweater; I bought that at Gymboree last summer for $4.99! We have enough babies being born in our church, I knew it would eventually work for some little guy. I happened to have fabric that went with it really well too. Also, I like the elephants, but this on in particular was my little message of support for McCain as this gift was given the weekend before the election. Too bad..an appliqued bib just wasn't enough! Anyway, enjoy!

Last Day at the Splash Park
The splash park at the zoo closes next Monday. Today looked like the last sunny/hot day to go. Augie and I enjoyed splash-side sandwiches and juice - and then he ventured out into the water alone. I think he enjoyed eating lunch and watching the other kids most - and also the almost attack of the canadian geese on our way out. We ended our trip with an easy carousel ride. The zoo is so much more fun and peaceful when the older kids are back at school. :-)
Happy Grandparents Day..yesterday!

Repurposed
Lately I have been wanting to re-purpose old clothing we have instead of throwing it away or donating it. I had this Springfield 5K Turkey Trot shirt from 2002 that hasn't fit me for a long time (at least not before stretching it over my knees and doing a couple of squats first :-) See re-purpose pictures below.
The long sleeves became pants for the prince.
And the rest a re-useable shopping bag for mama!
Here is Augie - Starbucks on Labor Day. We rode our bikes to coffee and breakfast and then rode around an old part of town and looked at the historic homes. Fun!! Augie fell asleep in the bike carrier on the way home. His little helmeted head kept falling over. :-)

We Don't Need No Stinkin' TV
Augie is such a big help when it comes to cleaning, especially using the vacuum or mop - he loves both of them! Pardon my grammar in a couple of these...I don't know why I talk like that to Augie sometimes.
He also got his first boo boo this week. :-( He didn't cry or anything, just wanted to play in the blood.
